Around The Clock Locks charge £65 labour cost to attend site and carry out work as requested, all prices are plus any parts that are required to successfully complete the job, and VAT charged at standard rate of 20%.
A ‘Call out fee’ is an old phrase used where emergency services used to charge a callout fee, plus a part hour charge. For example the ‘call out fee’ could be £65.00, plus £30.00 per 15 minutes on site. Therefore an hour’s labour on site would have been £185.00. This is a way that many people got caught out by rip off emergency service engineers and call centres. They would drag jobs out to earn more money and this obviously still sticks in people’s minds, therefore at Around The Clock Locks we don’t do this.
Our rates are based on us coming out to do the work required. £65.00 includes travel time and time on site for up to an hour. Jobs do not usually go over on time as they don’t tend to take that long, but if they did, we would identify that when pricing the job over the phone, ie 1.5 hours labour would be £95.00 or 2 hours £130.00 at a rate of £65 per hour.
We don’t provide free estimates in person but we can qualify what customers need over the phone or from images sent to us via email or Whatsapp. Should we quote for parts, but when we get to site those parts are not needed, then we would obviously not charge for those parts.
Should parts over and above be required and incorrect information was provided prior to quotation we will provide a fair re-quote while on site.
